Swagbucks Review: Is It Worth It?

Swagbucks Review: Is It Worth It?

If you have been following my £1 a day challenge you will be well aware of Swagbucks now. For the first month of the challenge, making £1 a day online has consisted solely from Swagbucks. In this Swagbucks review I will tell you the answers you need before you begin trying to make some extra cash online using this method.

For those who don’t know, Swagbucks is an online site where you can sign up to complete surveys, shop, play games, watch videos and even search the web in order to receive points. Once you rack up enough points, you can redeem them for real cash via PayPal or a variety of online gift cards.

What’s Swagbucks Like?

In short, Swagbucks is a great way to start making some extra money online. It is easy to sign up and the website is professional, well laid out and easy to understand. Unlike other survey and cashback websites I’ve used before, the rewards mostly actually record on your account. I’ve had all but one failure to receive an award for the work I have completed for their site.

How’s the pay?

Honestly, pretty bad. Don’t expect to get rich from this. Although, it definitely is a valid way of earning a little cash on the side.

To give context, for my challenge I aim to make £1 a day online. On Swagbucks, this takes around 1 hour a day to pass this challenge. Some days a bit more, sometimes a bit less. I know that does sound terrible but it is useful to remember that at the end of the day, this is an entertainment site. Some activities are quite fun to complete so it’s best to think of Swagbucks as a fun activity to do on the side that will pay you every so often.

Larger opportunities for pay can also be available on Swagbucks. The Discovery section in particular has a variety of offers which does pay healthily for you for easy tasks. I share tips on this in another post ‘5 Tips To Make More Money With Swagbucks‘.

Another useful thing to note about Swagbucks is that they are linked to large array of online shops. If you buy through their link, you will receive cashback. If you intend to make a purchase online, it may be worth to check if the site is on Swagbucks. Then you’ll be earning free money for a purchase you were going to make anyway.

In conclusion…

Swagbucks won’t make you rich and certainly won’t give you an income to live off. However, it is reliable and entertaining at times. If you use the best strategies, you can easily earn a little bit of extra cash each week for not a lot of effort. You can learn about my 5 best strategies in the other post, ‘5 Tips To Make More Money With Swagbucks‘.
