Week 18: Giving up on my dream of financial freedom and helping others to do the same is not an option for me. So I ended up working on improving my content creation skills. This led to me finding a new editing software (DaVinci Resolve). 

Day 120: A Better Mindset

So following on from last week, I wanted to reset from today. I decided I need to turn my focus away from the results I am getting for now. Instead I will use this time to practice getting better in business and in my content creation for you to follow. This way, once more people find Money Your Concern, their experience will be much better. I will be able to help more people by having a more refined system. 

This new mindset has definitely made me feel more positive about what I am doing. Although I must admit, it is still a drag to complete surveys each day to still pass this £1 a day challenge goal.

Today after work I logged on to Swagbucks and worked on completing the best paying surveys in the ‘gold surveys’ section. After about an hour, I had completed 3 surveys and earned 140 SB’s (£1.09) including 2 search rewards.

Day 121: “Now I Can Rest!!”

After a long day at work today, digging out the footings for a swimming pool, I had little energy by the time I got home. I did however login to Swagbucks to ensure I passed my daily goal…

Luckily I found 2 well paying surveys. After 35 minutes I had earned 201 SB’s (£1.57). Now I can rest!!

Day 122: Swago

Another full day of digging today at work. I sure do get all the best jobs… 

Anyway, after work I did manage to pass my £1 made online goal once again. 

One cool thing on Swagbucks is that twice a month, they have something called a Swago event. There’s a big one (where you can earn up to 300 SB’s for completing their challenges. There’s also a smaller one which is easier to complete but earns you 50 SB’s upon completion. 

This time it was the smaller event. All I had to do was simply visit a few online stores and make a withdrawal. Within 15 minutes, I earned the 50 SB’s. If you give Swagbucks a try, I highly recommend you go for these Swago events too as it is relatively easy money.

I then completed off the goal by taking a survey paying 80 SB’s for 25 minutes of effort.

Day 123: Not much fun…

Completing surveys wasn’t much fun today.

As it’s the weekend, three weren’t as many surveys on offer. And I got declined on all my attempts for the best paying surveys. So the whole day I had to keep remembering to flick back and forth to Swagbucks to look for more surveys to pop up.

By mid afternoon, I had finally found 4 small surveys to complete to pass my daily goal. Along with a couple of search rewards, today I made 129 SB’s (£1.01). Embarrassingly though, this took me nearly 2 hours of effort.

Day 124: Using a new editing software…

Today I finally found some time (and the motivation) to get another video done, to progress the YouTube channel. I wanted to try something different this time though. I decided I need to try to make my videos more engaging. So I looked for a new video editing software and I intend to play around with some new editing techniques. Such as adding video clips and perhaps some music.

I looked for recommendations, and the best software I found was DaVinci Resolve. It is a really professional editing software. And the best part… IT’S FREE!!

It took me a few hours to get to grips with but I finally created a new video. I added some stock video clips and I think it’s my best video yet. You can check out the video here…

Finally seeing some progress in my content creation capabilities is also really motivating for me to keep progressing.

I think this is the beauty of going through hardships. In this case I was struggling because of the lack of results so far. This made me think hard about what I can do to progress, so that I can improve my chances of success. 

I believe It is the hardships that separate those who succeed from those who don’t. Many people give up if things don’t go their way. I want to stick at this and make this work. So I will keep trying and keep learning until I find the right strategies to improve my financial situation and share everything I learn along the way.

As for the £1 a day challenge, I just need to stick with completing surveys, until I find those successful strategies of making passive income online. Today, I found 2 decent paying surveys to make 130 SB’s (£1.01) in around 50 minutes of time.

Day 125: Not Much Time

I didn’t have much time after work today but I completed 3 surveys and earned 140 SB’s (£1.09) in just under an hour.

Day 126: Getting used to Davinci Resolve

After work today, there was nothing but poor paying surveys today on Swagbucks. This meant it took me a bit longer than usual to complete today’s challenge. 

After around 90 minutes of grinding out 5 small surveys, I eventually earned 129 SB’s (£1.01) to pass today’s goal. I can’t wait till I finally create some passive income online and I no longer need to rely on completing surveys to make my £1 goal. It’s a legitimate way to make money but it sure is time consuming.

So that is what I managed to achieve in week 18 of the £1 a day challenge…

Although I had to battle through some motivation issues, I did come out learning an important lesson. It is in times of adversity, where we learn to grow and improve ourselves. It is either that or you burn out and give up.

I now feel like I am progressing in terms of the content and service I can provide which is really helping my motivation.
