The best way to learn is to simply just get started. And fail, and learn and grow as much as you possibly can.
Day 8: Short But Sweet
Nothing special today. I got started with Swagbucks straight after work to get the challenge complete for the day. After around 50 minutes of using the search engine, and completing 1 survey at double points (using my last bonus) I earned 133 SB’s (£1.03).
Although the 133 SB’S earned today was enough to push me over the mark for level 3 on the Swagbucks account. Giving me 2 more 2x bonus surveys and a 100 SB rebate on my next withdrawal.
Day 8 complete!!
Day 9: The Stock Market
This was another quick day completed after work so I could get into analysing more stocks!!
Straight after work, I loaded up my Swagbucks account and took the highest paying survey I saw using a 2x Swagbucks bonus after levelling up again yesterday. This was a ‘12 minute’ survey, actually taking 26 minutes (i’m getting used to this now)! However, after that and an 18 SB bonus for searching online, today I earned 178 SB’s (£1.39) for around 40 minutes of work.
Even with the use of bonuses, I know this site pays terribly. I hope to venture into other, more profitable ideas soon but for the meantime, Swagbucks is easy and convenient. It often takes around 1hr to achieve my daily target allowing me time to focus on making good investments during this strange time in the stock market.
Once the Market calms down and I have built out my portfolio with solid, well priced stocks, I then plan to spend a little more time working on growing my online business prospects. But for now, I am happy with simply taking action in a small way at the moment whilst I focus on investing and getting this website up and running.
Investing is something I am already pretty knowledgeable at. If you’d like to learn more about how to make more money from the extra money you do earn. You can check out my investing section of my website here. Where ill be adding loads of free investing knowledge, teaching you about different kinds of investing and the most profitable and least risky type of investing I use to make more money out of my money.
Day 10: Swagbucks Search
I’m starting to get used to incorporating Swagbucks into my day to day life. I’m currently doing a lot of stock market research for which I use the Swagbucks search engine. Granted, it definitely isn’t as sophisticated as google search but it does the job and today I earned 36 SB’s (£0.28) just for searching.
Later on, I completed a 15 minute survey and signed up for a free website. After around an hour of work at Swagbucks, I reached 167 SB’s (£1.30). Another small amount, but to be honest, some days, the process of grinding out the points can feel quite fun. They make it feel like a game.
Nevertheless, I’ve now reached my goal of earning £1 a day or more for 10 days straight now. Hooray!!
Day 11: It’s A Busy Day
Today is a busy day!! I’ll be away all day decorating a bathroom for a friend. This so far brings up the biggest challenge to my £1 a day challenge.
However, I recognised this early and took the initiative to get up early (5am) to log onto my Swagbucks account. I started off frantically using the search engine, typing in all random searches I could think of. After 5 minutes, I received a reward of 24 SB’s (19p). Note, this is on the higher end of Swagbucks search rewards I have received.
I then proceeded to complete the best valued surveys on my laptop whilst playing Swagbucks videos on my phone to grab a few extra SB’s. After around 45 minutes and 2 surveys, I made 138 SB’s (£1.08) achieving my target for the 11th day in a row.
This ‘NO EXCUSES’ commitment is really valuable to the challenge I think as it makes me commit, no matter what. Although I have made my goal relatively achievable (another important key to goal setting) I could have easily skipped this day due to the serious lack of time I have today.
Now to get on with the decorating!!
Day 12: Getting Home Late
Another busy day today due to finishing the job for my friend and travelling home. Again, it crossed my mind to give today a miss!! But because I made a challenge for myself and allowed myself no excuses, I rushed another £1 worth of work in Swagbucks.
I got in late from a busy day and forced myself to open up my laptop and log on to Swagbucks in order to complete the challenge. I rushed in a few searches; after 10, I luckily received a 24 SB reward.
I then rushed in 2 surveys to finally reach 141 SB’s (£1.10) for around 45 minutes of work. Again, today I didn’t have much time but I made it. 12 days in a row!!
Day 13: “One Of Those Days”
Today’s challenge dragged a little. It was simply one of those days…
I tried for 5 surveys in a row, spending 5 minutes on each, filling out my details, only to be declined for not being in their required demographic. You’d think Swagbucks would remember these details and recommend you only to the surveys you will be accepted for?! I eventually got through to one survey paying me 100 SB’s (£0.78) taking around 25 minutes.
To finish the rest of my goal I completed a Swagbucks search bonus (4 SB’s) and had a go at 2 Swagbucks live events. These were quite entertaining and finally got me over the line.
Today’s earnings were 130 SB’s (£1.01) for around 2hrs work!!
Day 14: “Just Get Started”
Another day with Swagbucks. Started off with a few random searches; soon after earning a reward of 7 SB’s. Then I completed 2 surveys taking around an hour, earning me 129 SB’s (£1.01).
This marks 2 weeks since I had my idea of this challenge whilst doing a boring job in a customer’s garden. In all honesty, I’m still doing boring jobs just the same as 2 weeks ago but at least now I feel like I have some hope and a direction to work towards. I feel like I am putting myself in the right position to grow and expand my confidence and knowledge in online business to eventually escape the rat race and live a life of financial freedom.
I’ve previously read a great book by Rob Moore called ‘Start now, Get perfect later’ explaining how you will never find the perfect moment to get started on your goals and dreams. The best way to learn is to simply just get started. And fail, and learn and grow as much as you possibly can!!
Thank you once again for reading another update on my £1 a day challenge. The key focus of this challenge really is to get myself involved in online business. The secret is to start somewhere small and manageable. From there you can build momentum to bigger and better things. The key is to simply get involved.
If you’ve been inspired to try this challenge out for yourself, let us know in the comments below. I’d love to hear from you.
Thanks, talk soon.
