Week 12: Starting With Affiliate Marketing

Week 12: Starting With Affiliate Marketing

Week 12: It feels this situation is a win, win for the progression of our financial futures

Day 78: A strong start to week 12…

I’m glad I now have my YouTube channel up and running. It seems, I’m beginning to build a strong base for the Money Your Concern brand to grow and I’m feeling ambitious going into week 12 of the £1 a day challenge. This week I hope to further grow my presence on both websites and YouTube and to finally aim to build some forms of online passive income.

After a busy day of work, I started off week 12 of the £1 a day challenge strongly by completing 2 nice paying surveys to pass the daily goal within 45 minutes. Along with a couple of Swagbucks search rewards, today I earned 143 SB’s (£1.12).

The rest of the evening I spent preparing two posts for the Blog section of the Money Your Concern website.

Day 79: Swagbucks was being a pain in the…

Although Swagbucks was being a pain in the *** today, I pressed through this evening and got today’s £1 a day challenge done. I was declined by at least 7 or 8 today but overall, I completed 3 surveys to earn 129 SB’s (£1.01) for around 90 minutes of work.

Day 80: Amazon Affiliate

Today was the end of the monthly period where we get our bonus rewards for completing our daily goals. Thankfully, today I was awarded 149 SB’s. I haven’t included these points up till now but I suppose technically, this is passive income received for the hard work I put in throughout the month. Also, today I could better use my time to increase my business prospects so i settled for this even though I didn’t complete any surveys today. Along with a couple of search rewards, today I earned 166SB’s (£1.29) for less than 5 minutes of time spent with Swagbucks.

I had the day off from work today…

So I spent the day writing up a post for the Money Your Concern website and writing up scripts to record for my upcoming YouTube videos. Along with this I finally applied to get on to the UK Amazon affiliate programme. This means I can now provide links for products on my content. I will then receive a commission (at no extra cost to the purchaser) for each person who buys for the link. This is my first taste of creating passive income online apart from stock market investing. I look forward to seeing where this takes me.

I aim to become more adept and knowledgeable about the affiliate marketing process. Then, I will shift from promoting products on this website to creating affiliate links on other businesses I plan to create outside of this one.

To see the changes I’ve made to some current pages on this site with affiliate links, you can check out the Further Learning and Learn More sections of this website. This is where I review products and books that have helped me personally to become a better investor and in personal finance. I really think they can help you too.

Day 81: Found Another Casino Offer!!

It’s been a while but finally another casino gambling offer popped up. I ran out of these as you need to be a new member for each one. They frequently offer great value, as long you are conservative with your betting and don’t get carried away with the gambling.

This offer gave me 4,000 SB’s (£31.20) to deposit and wager £30 on their casino site. So I deposited the money. Then, I spent the next 30 minutes, wagering small bets on the top third section on the roulette table. Once I had wagered £30 in total, I was left with £28 giving me a loss of £2. However, the award is pending and will soon arrive into my Swagbucks account. So along with a couple of search rewards today, I earned £29.35 for around 30 minutes work. I like it when these deals pop up!!

The rest of today, I spent writing up posts. I also did a batch of voice recordings for my upcoming YouTube videos this morning. To see what I’ve been working on there, you may like to check out the Money Your Concern YouTube channel.

Day 82: I need to move on…

I had a weak start to Swagbucks this morning. I spent 30 minutes completing a survey for it to not be recorded on my account for some reason. This was really frustrating and made me really want to give up on this challenge for the day. However, later on in the day, I decided I needed to keep the momentum going, so I sucked it up and logged on once again. After around an hour of selecting the best surveys I could see, I eventually passed today’s goal. Today’s earnings 129 SB’s for around 100 minutes of effort.

On days like these, it really makes me want to progress further. I can’t wait to no longer need to rely on Swagbucks to pass my daily online income goal. Although I know that businesses take time to grow organically, I really do need to look to accelerate my business further.

It at least feels good that I now have two platforms to grow a following on and I have finally jumped into my first form of monetisation. I think affiliate marketing will be a great thing to get to grips with first. Then I can look to use this strategy in most of my future business ideas I will execute on.

Day 83: Working On Affiliate Marketing

After work today, I spent a good amount of time writing up some more book reviews. Focusing on recent investment books I found great use from. This is so I can capitalise and get to learn the best ways of using affiliate links to recommend products. Every book I recommend, I have read and believe them to be useful to people interested in my content. I will make a small commission (at no cost to the reader) and I will learn the ropes of affiliate marketing. In return, you will be guided towards more great content I think will best further your knowledge. It feels this situation is a win, win for the progression of our financial futures. So I will focus down on this method for a while.

Alongside this, I spent around 1 hour on Swagbucks surveys today. The process went a little smoother yesterday, and all of my rewards were recorded. Today’s earnings were 135 SB’s (£1.05).

Day 84: Watch out for the next YouTube video

It took me a while to pass today’s £1 a day challenge. I was unfortunately declined by at least 10 surveys. So in the end, I had to take what I could get. I had to choose poor paying surveys to finally get the challenge done. Along with 4 surveys and a few search rewards, today I earned 132 SB’s (£1.03) for 90 minutes of work.

The rest of this evening I spent working on new content for the website. As well as this, I started editing my next video for the YouTube channel. Check back to the Money Your Concern YouTube channel, by the time you read this, the video may be uploaded.

Thanks for following week 12 of the £1 a day challenge…

So this marks the end of week 12 of the £1 a day challenge. Now that I have 2 platforms I can grow this brand on, it feels like the right time to begin looking for ways of monetisation. This is so I can test out various methods before I explore them in various other businesses. The first monetisation method I have taken up this week is Affiliate marketing. I look forward to learning the best details to get this to work. As always, I will let you know everything I learn along the way.
