Week 22: Including my job, I must’ve worked 16 hours today. Pheww, that was a long day. I love working on this brand though and it feels great to know I can do something positive with it.
Day 148: Welcome to week 22…
Thanks for tuning in to week 22 of my £1 a day challenge journey. This week I hope to further my progress with YouTube and this website, to get as much traffic in as possible. I really want to positively impact a lot of people with my content, so I want to get as many people interested as early as possible.
Today is Wednesday, so I spent the morning before work editing the week 21 update post for this website. Although these updates don’t get many views each week, I will continue to do them. This is for two reasons…
- It documents everything, so future followers to Money Your Concern can go back and see how useless I was at business and content creation and will know that they will get better themselves if only they jump in.
- It helps to keep me on track and disciplined to stay on target with making money online and building streams of passive income.
So besides the post, I started editing another video which I plan to post on Friday (day 150). Then, before time runs out for the day, I logged onto Swagbucks to make sure I make my £1 for the day.
Day 149: 16 Hour Work Day
I spent pretty much all day today editing and posting the week 21 update in video format for the Money Your Concern YouTube channel. With the videos, I try to go into more detail on what I learned from the week, rather than a daily report. So if you like the blog version, I think you may find some value in these videos too. You can check out the YouTube channel here.
Before the day was up, I used Swagbucks again, completing surveys until I made 132 SB’s (£1.03). This took me around 1 hour to complete.
Including my job, I must’ve worked 16 hours today. Pheww, that was a long day. I love working on this brand though and it feels great to know I can do something positive with it.
Day 150: Value Investing Basics
Today I posted another YouTube video, ‘Value Investing Basics Introduction’. You can check it out below if you like.
This video is to introduce a 3 part series I plan to create this week to introduce new investors to my favourite investing strategy, which is value investing. The 3 videos of this series will cover 9 steps I believe will give you a good understanding to build a successful investment strategy. Keep an eye out for the Value Investing Basics playlist on the Money Your Concern YouTube channel for these 9 tips!!
I will then build on this over future videos to give you a good idea of how to become a successful value investor.
I also used Swagbucks again today, using the Surveys in the answer section until I made 135 SB’s (£1.35) to pass today’s goal.
Day 151: More relaxed today…
I had a more relaxed day today. I needed a break. However I did make sure I made my £1 online today. Using the surveys again, today I made 128 SB’s (£1.00) in around 50 minutes.
Day 152: Value Investing Basics Recording
I got up early again today, to record the audios for the value investing basics series on YouTube. I hope to edit, then post these videos out shortly. The rest of today, I spent editing the first video, which will hopefully be completed for tomorrow.
As for the £1 a day challenge, sorry, I know this sounds boring but I logged onto Swagbucks to complete a few more surveys until I earned £1.
Day 153: Vid IQ
I once again got up early today, to finish off the editing of my next video for the YouTube channel. It’s the longest video I’m yet to make and it is on a topic I am passionate about. You can check out the video here if you like…
Today, I also came across a tool called Vid IQ. I’m only using the free version for now but honestly, it’s amazing. This tool gives you so much more information regarding optimising your video for more views. The site also comes with an academy, teaching you the tips and tricks to improve your clicks to your channel. I highly recommend you check it out.
I used the Surveys on Swagbucks again today to pass the £1 a day challenge. This took around 1 hour but in the end, I completed 4 surveys to earn 157 SB’s (£1.22).
Day 154: Falling Asleep
A long day at work today and I came home exhausted. I intended to do a lot more today but I loaded up Swagbucks, to complete the challenge. Completing surveys until I got up to 125 SB’s (£0.98) until I fell asleep at my desk…
I woke up 2 hours later with my computer screen still open. I think this is a sign that my body needs a rest. So I earned one more search reward on the Swagbucks search engine and took a rest.
So this is my progress for week 22 of the £1 a day challenge…
I know my progress hasn’t been very exciting lately but as always, you will find an honest reflection of what my online business progress is like on this challenge.
I’m trying to grow the YouTube channel, to build a foundation for the Money Your Concern brand but progress with this is going really slow. Therefore, I am not getting much traffic to this site. So most of my other built up forms of online income aren’t working right now. This means I have to continue to use Swagbucks to make sure I pass this challenge each day.
Perhaps for now, I should look to gain other forms of income online, as it seems this YouTube channel isn’t going to get any real traction for a while. What do you think?
Regardless of this, thank you for following another week’s update of my online business progression. This is the £1 a day challenge, where I share my journey of building streams of income online. I aim to eventually take over my work income and to eventually reach financial freedom.
If this sounds interesting to you, I hope you can be inspired to take part in the challenge yourself. Let us know in the comments below. Then we can all offer tips and motivation to one another, to make our financial dreams become a reality.
If you also want to begin your journey with Swagbucks to make at least £1 a day online, you may like to use my referral link. If you sign up here, you will earn 300 extra SB’s if you earn 300 SB’s yourself before 30 days.
