Week 30: I hope this challenge now becomes more readable and more people will become interested to take part in this challenge.
Day 204: Welcome to week 30
Welcome to week 30 of the £1 a day challenge. Where I aim to share with you everything I learn as I try to build passive income streams online to escape the rat race of the boring 9-5 life. I start from the simplest step of making at least £1 a day online.
At the moment, I work in the building trade. And for some reason, we have been super busy lately. Which is annoying, as I just want to get on with progressing this £1 goal and improving my online business. The free time that I do get, I come home knackered and my work is less productive. So I’ve resorted to getting up super early (4am) before work, so my energy can be best used on what is more important to me.
However, this is easier said than done…
I didn’t wake up till 6:31 this morning and therefore only had time to actively make sure I made the £1 online today. Once again, this was via Swagbucks. This is a Survey site I have been using almost every day to make money online whilst I try to grow the business on the side.
Today, I made 131 SB’s (£1.04) for about 50 minutes of surveys.
Day 205: Getting Behind
So because of work, I’m getting a little behind. For the weekly catch up I should have updated the blog post and have had a video out by today. However, I simply didn’t have the time.
I can’t let this bring me down, so I will continue to try my best to work in the opportunities I get and keep doing everything I can.
But keep reading to check out this week’s video update. I’m creating a video to show you how you can go from zero to creating a platform with an affiliate marketing passive income.
Day 206: I failed
Well I knew this would probably happen today. I needed the morning to work on creating the video update for YouTube and the evening was taken up seeing family.
Today I didn’t get round to using Swagbucks to make the £1 online today. No affiliate or referral commissions came through, so I failed to reach today’s goal.
I’m not making excuses though, i’m just trying to share everything with you, so that you can see the real life process. I’ll keep persevering with this challenge until I find what works best to make money online and it will become much easier (and profitable).
Obviously, I will always share what I learn.
Day 207: I’ve Caught Up
It’s finally the weekend!!
Which means, I don’t have work in the way today, so I can spend some time catching up on everything I intended to for this challenge.
Last week’s blog post is now live.
Also, you can check out the week 29 update on YouTube below…
It’s about how you can start affiliate marketing yourself. I hope it helps.
Other than all of this, I got back onto Swagbucks and I passed today’s £1 a day challenge goal. I spent around 45 minutes completing surveys to earn 146 SB’s (£1.14). This includes a couple of Swagbucks search rewards I earned throughout the day.
Day 208: Changing the Blog format
So as today’s subheading suggests, I’m planning to change the blog format on this website.
So at the moment I’ve been writing a brief update of what I got up to each day, in my journey for progressing this challenge and my online business. And then giving an overview of the most important points learned each week in video format on YouTube.
This takes a lot of time to do each day. Looking at the analytics for this website, these posts don’t seem to be very interesting to viewers too.
I want to change this…
So from after this week (week 30) I will post the video and the blog post together. This will mean I can show the video in the blog post along with any added details that will be useful on written format.
So both will be posted every Thursday but the blog will have some additional information. Such as…
- Specifics of how I made at least £1 each day
- More details on how much I made, with which strategy
- And any boring but useful details of running a business I miss out in the video.
So These blog posts should now be more of a condensed and interesting format. I hope this challenge now becomes more readable and more people will become interested to take part in this challenge.
So stay tuned for this new Blog post style for week 31 on Thursday 22nd October, 2020.
I hope you like it.
However, what’s most important for me, is you, the reader/ watcher. So, if you’d prefer the normal format, let me know. I can always go back to it.
Here’s to progression!!
Oh, I almost forgot. Along with all this planning, I did pass today’s £1 goal with Swagbucks again. Today I earned 136 SB’s (£1.06) for around 1 hour of work.
Day 209: The Dhandho Investor
I managed to write up another book review today. If you’d like to check out my review of the Dhandho Investor. I read it a little while ago but it is a brilliant investment book with a great message and some of these lessons have stuck with me over the past year since I read it.
Other than that, all the time I had left for today (besides work) was to pass the £1 a day challenge goal on Swagbucks. So I worked on completing 3 surveys to earn 142 SB’s (£1.11), taking me around 40 minutes.
Day 210: Audio Recordings
I got up before work to get the £1 a day challenge out the way. I completed surveys on Swagbucks until I earned 129 SB’s (£1.01). This took me no longer than an hour.
The rest of today was spent planning and recording audio for the upcoming YouTube videos. I have a couple more stock market related videos common soon. So if this interests you, be sure to keep up to date with the Money Your Concern YouTube channel.
Thanks for checking out week 30…
So although work is really busy at the moment, I am finding 3-4 hours each day to continue progress with Money Your Concern. This week achieving 2 YouTube videos, another book review and keeping up the £1 goal every day. Well, apart from Friday…
It’s frustrating I can’t work on this more at the moment, for week 30, but I’m doing the best I can. Whilst I work, I listen to audiobooks on affiliate marketing, website SEO and Dropshipping. I’m learning a lot and I hope to share this with you as I continue to grow and take action over the coming months.
I hope me sharing my journey will one day inspire some of you to take part in the £1 a day challenge for yourself. Please do let us know in the comments if you decide to. I intend to help you as much as I possibly can.
If you decide to go through Swagbucks to begin with, just like me. Here’s my referral link where you can get a bonus reward if you reach a certain Swagbucks points goal within the first 30 days of sign up.
I hope that helps you get underway.
Thanks for reading and be sure to check out the new blog style format next Thursday. Let me know what you think?!
If you prefer this format, I’ll change it back.
Cheers,
Harry
